Just wanted to let you know that the original Musicwhore.org Japanese music archive website singlehandedly made Number Girl and bloodthirsty butchers two of my favorite bands, and you helped put Japanese indie on my radar when I was in college. I discovered Galaxie 500 and got more into Pixies and Husker Du through Number Girl. Strange how that works!

    I linked my old band Young Adults, who I played guitar and did vocals for many moons ago. Hisako Tabuchi was my guitar muse 100% in addition to Kevin Shields and Bob Mould. Maybe you can spot the overt references to NG…
